Green Line, inspired by High Line Park in New York, is the name of the new walkway that stretches across the entire Södra City. This unique, urban, green parkway extends from Hamnplan in the west, over the new Uppsala C, to Juvelen in the east. It serves as a green link between the city center and the neighborhoods south of the city, specifically designed for pedestrians and cyclists.
A GREEN OASIS IN THE CITY
The promenade will be designed in a modern way while respecting the site’s history, serving as a clear example of sustainable urban planning. Each season will lend its charm and atmosphere to the walkway, with vibrant autumn leaves and budding spring greenery.
Green Line will become a new landmark in the city, offering culture and bustling life year-round. It will be a place for outdoor work, gardening, relaxation, play, and exercise. An oasis full of life and urban greenery. Here, people of all ages will choose to pass by or linger a bit longer. You can take a refreshing walk or a break amidst the greenery.
